2020 - Chapter 9

Lilli got to sleep in Monday morning and Adam took her to her orthodontist appointment. She got some new brackets on and they made a few adjustments to her bite. She started giggling when she saw Adam was going to take her picture.

Michelle and I met over at Jolene's Monday night to make some special t-shirts for Alexa and Mackenzie's duet. Their song is called "Dem Beats", so we had that on the back and on the front one of the lyrics in the song.."Don't Kill My Vibe". They turned out super cute.

Tuesday night, Adam and I were able to have dinner with Alexa and she totally missed her mouth while trying to take a drink. Totally looked like she peed herself.

Adam has been actively increasing his running distance at work on the treadmill. 10 miles is so impressive. I'm so proud of him.

Alexa chose our friend Jolene Budde has her confirmation sponsor. She surprised her with some flowers and Jolene accepted the honor. This is so special because I chose a family friend as my confirmation sponsor, too.

This was also the day we found out Mackenzie's toe is broken (due to Jolene accidently running it over with her car tire) and isn't able to compete group dances or duet this weekend. Jolene felt terrible and we wanted to cheer her up.

We surprised the girls and Ms. Kris with their Don't Kill My Vibe t-shirts at their Wednesday lesson. It doesn't take the hurt away of not being able to compete, but they sure made them excited and we are looking forward to finding another competition for them to compete duet when Kenzie heals.

Wednesday night we attended Ash Wednesday mass with the Budde's. Afterwards, Alexa and Taylor went to the gym to work out.

Lilli and Adam chose tuna noodle hotdish for dinner Thursday night. They were so excited about it that they were sending text messages back and forth to each other all afternoon. I sent them one to let them know it was done and ready for them.

Friday we said goodbye to our dear friend and old neighbor, Grandma Debbie. She was such an amazing lady and took such good care of our family when we moved to Farmington. She watched our girls, our dogs, our house and was just there whenever we needed anything. We love her so much and she will be terribly missed.

After the funeral we drove to Chanhassen to watch solos and duets at PAC.

Saturday was group day at PAC. The girls got up and did hair and make up without a hitch. They are so easy and good to each other, helping each other out.

It was an amazing day of beautiful dancing. I just love watching the girls dance. All dances took home a Platinum ranking accept for Alexa's Pointe that received Gold. Alexa's Lyrical/Contemporary received a judges choice award (The Power of Silence), Jazz Production and Alexa's Tap both won and competed in the PAC Attack Challenge & Lilli's Mucsical Theater won the Most Creative Content Award. All their dances placed with the big winners being Lilli's Hip Hop at 1st place and Alexa's lyrical 2nd place in their respective categories. It was such an exciting day and so fun to be back in the dance competition season. So proud of our girls and the entire Synergy family.

It was a gorgeous day on Sunday. We spent the day taking the Christmas lights down outside, picking up dog poop and taking the dogs for a walk.

Sunday night was also the season opener of the MN United. We were so excited and looked forward to watching the game all day. They didn't play the best in the first half, but came away with a win against Portland. So much fun to watch and get exciting texts from my family during the game.
