Adam and I began the week playing a game of hookie from work. There is nothing that made me feel more like a millenial than taking a "me day". We had a lunch date at Northern Tap House. It was so delicious and felt so very rebellious. We came home and took naps. It was glorious.
Alexa has been loving driving her new car. We take it every opportunity we get so she can not only get used to it, but get her driving hours in. She's doing so well.
I hate to celebrate at the expense of not having church, but the girls both had a night off from faith formation/confirmation and it made us all so so happy to have a middle of the week family night. We made popcorn and watched BMW.

Our school supply drive for the children in the Dominican is underway and doing so well. Our box is filling up with so many amazing school supplies. We are excited to see all the generosity from our Synergy families.
An exciting week for Lilli as we signed her up for 12U lacrosse. She'll begin practices in March and her game season this summer.

Friday night Alexa and Mackenzie had duet night at Innovate at the Cowles Center in Minneapolis. They did a couple master classes and performed their duet for judges and got some great feedback. They had fun and their dance looked so great. They came away with some good tips and a few things to work on.
They had lots of supporters there with them from other soloists/duets and fellow dancers from Synergy.

While they were at master classes, we met up with fellow dance parents and had dinner at Kieran's Irish Pub just a block away. We were able to run back and forth to watch all the dances.

Saturday we got to sleep in and enjoy a wonderful family day. We took advantage of running some errands to have Alexa drive. She even drove Miller through the car wash.

We had lunch at Lucky 13's and then did some shopping at the Burnsville Mall. We made a stop at the auto store to pick up a light for Alexa's car and then to Target for Starbucks and groceries. Lilli was thrilled when we went to the auto section in Target. She's not a shopper.

We also found the cutest set of lacrosse sticks for Finn. Lilli can't wait to play with him.

Sunday is was up early and back to the Cowles Center for Innovate Group Day. The girls had a fun day in master classes, doing community service projects and performing their dances for the judges.
Adam and I met up with dance parents for breakfast at The Hen House and then bopped around downtown with some friends while going in and out of the Cowles to catch the girls' dances.

Lilli's Lyrical

It was an amazing day spent with great friends and watching the girls do what they love.
We came home made some pizza and watched the Super Bowl.
