Adam and the girls didn't have work or school on Monday due to Martin Luther King Day. Adam spent the morning clearing the driveway of snow and ice and Alexa went to the studio to work on some posters for competition with the NHSDA. Adam and Lilli got groceries for the week and all the of them cleaned the house in the afternoon. The girls even made their beds. It was so nice to come home to.
Lilli finished her 2nd quarter of 6th grade and her report card showed her hard work and dedication. Her grades were astounding, yet again. We are so incredibly proud of her. Alexa's 1/3 grades also posted for her 2nd tri and were all A's. So very happy, proud and impressed.
We started the school supply drive for the children in the Dominican. We hung flyers and put a box to collect the items at the girls' dance studio.
Andrea and Cesar came up from Albert Lea on Friday. The girls had some extra hip hop classes after school. And Alexa had Ava and Rachel's birthday party at the Eagan Ice Rink. But, we still got some quality time with Cesar and Dre. Dre got to visit the girls' studio, we stopped at Celts for a drink and had dinner at Culver's.
We had the Farmington Community Expo on Saturday morning. The girls had to be there ready to perform their dances at 8:30. Luckily, I had Andrea here to help with their make up.

Alexa performed her pointe, jazz and hip hop and Lilli performed her lyrical and hip hop.

Then Saturday afternoon, the girls performed at For The Love of Dance, a fundraiser for the senior class and Dancer's Against Cancer.
Alexa performed Jazz and Lilli performed Lyrical. Synergy also surprised everyone with a fun Flash Mob to start the event.

Andrea and Cesar's dog Hazel came along for their trip. The girls loved having another dog around.

We were also able to surprise Alexa with her very first CAR. It's super surreal for us to have our baby driving, but little did I know she was feeling the same about "growing up".
We are so proud of her. We keep telling her that she was not just given this car, she earned it.
Meet Miller, the Murcery Mariner.

We are happy that she has the car she is going to be driving to practice in the rest of the winter and all summer.
