It sure doesn't feel like June, yet here we are! We were up early for teachers and assistants practice Saturday morning. Alexa stayed to assist and go to hip hop. Adam also had dad's practice. I did a work out with Adam and then walked the dogs. It was a beautiful morning to sit out on the porch, too. The girls showered up and we did their hair when they got home and got all ready for dance pics. Budde's, Beissel's and Sharps came over to take pics in our back yard. They didn't turn out as well as last year, but they are still really pretty. Adam and Bryson played bags in our yard while we took pics. Afterwards, we had dinner and met up at the Sharps for a bonfire.

Adam and I and the Sharp's worked the Loon's game today. It was a gorgeous day and an afternoon game. And although it took up most of the day, it was pretty fun. It was my first time seeing the new stadium and it was as amazing as I could have expected. I can't wait for the girls to see it. After our shift, we talked to them about season tickets and put ourselves on the waiting list. So exciting. We had a drink with Stacey and Bryson at Mi Pueblo on our way home. The girls had hung out at our house all day and played with Ellie and Izzy. They had a great time, too, made tie dye shirts and went to SA for a treat. Adam and I took the puppies for a walk while the girls showered and then we watched 1/2 an episode of AGT.

I woke the girls up for their last Monday of middle school and elementary school this morning! So crazy!! It's also Lilli's last full day! Linda, Nellie and Fred were over after school and for the night. Linda is bringing them to the airport in the morning. The girls played with the puppies and jumped on the trampoline while I worked out. Then they had teachers/assistants practice from 7:15-8:15. I brought the puppies for a walk and then Adam got home from bags. We hung out with his mom and aunt an uncle for a bit and then the kids and I went to bed.

Today is so bittersweet with it being Lilli's last day of 5th grade, last day of elementary school and the end of an era for Adam and I having a kid at Akin Road Elem. Wow! Lilli has shown so much growth and maturity this year, we are so so proud. And we know she's ready for middle school. But, we are also feeling the time slipping from us. She had a half day today and then Stacey picked her and Ellie up for the last time at Akin - officially 6th graders! After work I did a quick work out and then we took Homie to the vet for his first well check. It had been raining - Adam was outside under an umbrella trying to collect a stool sample, but Homie wasn't having it. On our way there our phones and the radio sirens were going off alerting us to a tornado warning. One had touched down in Prior Lake. When we arrived the tornado sirens were going off and the front desk staff guided us to an x-ray room to stay safe. We were in there with a few others and another puppy waiting out the storm. It had started to hail and a small tree had fallen on the vet clinic's yard. After it died down a bit Adam ran back home to grab Javie and Homie's paperwork that we forgot. They did Homie's exam and he checked out completely healthy. His heart, stomach, knees, temp and weight were all very normal. He got his 12 week booster shots and handled it perfectly. He didn't even flinch. We waited around a little bit to see if he'd have a reaction to the shot, but he did just fine. Adam made dinner when we got home - just heated up a bunch of leftovers we had. We took the dogs for a walk and the girls showered and got ready to watch AGT.

Alexa played hookie from school today. Her class went to Valley Fair. A group of her friends decided to have a pool party instead - well, that ended up falling through, so they decided to go to Lake Marion for the day, however, there wasn't going to be adult supervision, so Molly and I decided that Miranda and Alexa would stay home and hang out together. Ellie also came over to play with Lilli. They all hung out on the trampoline, biked to Akin and SA, and played with the puppies. I did my work out real quick when I got home and then we left for Cannon Falls for dress rehearsal. The girls had to assist their rec classes. It went pretty quickly. We stopped at Target on the way home to grab a few things and stopped at Subway for dinner. We made little gifts for their assisting kids and packed up their dream duffels for the weekend. Adam ran to Cannon Falls for dad's practice. I made dinner for tomorrow night. We cleaned up the house a little. Adam took the pups for a walk. And then it was time to kiss our sweet Alexa goodnight for the last time as a middle schooler. Cue all the tears!

It was so hard dropping Alexa, Kenz and Katelyn off this morning. I wore my sunglasses to hide my tears. Adam was waiting for me in the garage when I got home, knowing I'd have a hard time. Alexa's 3 years at Dodge Middle School have been amazing and I can only hope she has as great of an experience in High School. Lilli was home alone for a bit this morning with the puppies until Alexa got home. She just had a half day today! Her friends Miranda, Amanda, Lauren and Olivia came home with her after school for a little last day of school celebration. They had lunch and played on the trampoline with the sprinkler and soap. I quickly got some dinner heated up for us and we ate, packed up the dream duffels and took off to Cannon Falls for the girls' full dress rehearsal. Adam came later to practice the dads dance. Everything went really well and we were home a little after 10. The girls showered and Adam and I took the pups for a walk.

Lilli and Ellie took the babysitting training class today. Stacey brought them at 9. Alexa went with the Olhues and Beissel's to Dunkin Donuts in Eagan for a fun drink and a free donut for National Donut Day. I guess you could say her first day of summer break is off to a good start! They stopped at Target and did a little scavenger hunt and were probably super annoying to all the customers. She went to hang out at Autumn & Kaily's for the afternoon. Adam got off work early. Homie's stool sample tested positive for parasites so Adam went to go pick up his medicine and pick up my list of groceries for the weekend. Lilli was done with her babysitting class at 3:30 and Adam picked her and Ellie up then. They had a great day! They knew several of the girls there and met some new one's too. Alexa got home at 4 from the Olhues and then I had them all help me clean up the house. My mom and dad arrived sometime after 7 and got to meet Homie for the first time. Tiny, Courtney, Finn and Hallie came around 9:30. It was so fun to see everyone.

I made breakfast for everyone in the morning and we were able to spend quite a bit of the day outside in the back yard. Finn loved the trampoline and playing catch and bat and ball. The puppies ran around and played and we just sat and visited. It was really nice. Adam set out a build your own sandwich bar for lunch, the kiddos napped and then we ran to Starbucks/HyVee for a quick treat and as soon as we got home we heard the ice cream truck and got another treat. It was Finn's first ice cream truck experience and he loved it. I started getting the girls ready with hair and make up, packed up their dream duffels, grabbed some snacks and off we were to Cannon Falls for their first recital of the weekend. They did such an amazing job. I'm so proud of them. Adam worked back stage and I ran back and forth from watching to helping the girls change. Everything went so well and my family really enjoyed the show. Finn and Hallie sat through the whole thing! We saw the most beautiful sky on the way home and even stopped to snap a few pictures. Adam made a pizza and cut up some meat and cheese when we got home and I took the dogs for a walk. It was nice to relax with my family after the show.

Another beautiful morning to be out on the porch and deck. My parents left mid-morning and Tiny and Courtney and the kids went out to lunch with a friend while I got the girls ready and we had their 2nd recital. Another amazing show! The girls (and Adam) did so great. It was bittersweet to see the season come to an end. We are going to miss these dances. The girls were invited to Sarah's bonfire/pizza party after the recital. This is her senior year and last recital and the girls are going to miss her terribly. So, we dropped them off at the party and then took Tiny and Courtney and the kids to our new favorite Mexican place, Mi Pueblo. It was delicious. Courtney and I picked up the girls at 10, while Adam and Tiny made us some mules. The kids went to bed and we stayed up way too late visiting and having fun.

Adam and I were lucky enough to get Monday off of work. Tiny and Courtney were able to stay an extra night/day, so we were able to have some more time with them and the kids. We had been promising Finn a trip to the park, so we packed up and walked down to the baseball field where he wanted to hit off his tee and run the bases. We all took turns. He had a blast. We also brought a basketball and shot some hoops and played on the playground. Adam grilled some burgers and brats for lunch and then the kids went down for a nap. Adam and Tiny played video games and us girls just relaxed. It was so so nice to just chill and hang out with them. They took off around 4:30 for home. We miss them so much already! Adam and I drove up to Minneapolis to Finnegans so he could play in his bean bag league. I've never gone to one of his games, so this was fun to see how it's set up and watch him play. He won all his games. :) We stopped at Culver's for custard when we got back and brought some back for the girls, too. We snuggled in bed and watched AGT. I didn't last 2 mins and I was sleeping. What a wonderful yet exhausting weekend.

The girls' first day of summer break on their own. They woke up and snuggled with the puppies, showered and made themselves lunch. The Sharp girls came over to play all afternoon. They were sending me tik-tok's, so I imagine that's all they did today. It rained pretty much all day so it was the perfect day for it. Homie's vet called at let us know that they inadvertantly prescribed the wrong dose of medication for his parasite, so I had to go pick up the new dosage after work. We also asked for some suggestions on how to get him to eat it, since he wasn't showing any interest. It's a powder that we have to mix in with his food. They suggested we buy him some soft food, just to get him through the medication and then switch him back to the kibble. I mixed his medicine with his soft food and he ate it right up. I took the girls shopping for some summer stuff. We stopped at Kohl's first, then had dinner at Chipotle and then stopped at Burlington, Turnstyle and TJ Max. We all found a few things. It started pouring when we got home so I wasn't able to get the puppies out for a walk. The girls snuggled in to watch some videos together and I watched the Bachelorette while doing my work out. Adam got home late from working the Twins game. I let Homie snuggle with me in my bed until he got home. I bet he would have slept with me all night if I let him, but we need to stay consistent in keeping him in his closet.

Adam had to work early this morning. They had an event at the Commons Park in Minneapolis. The girls did their chores in the morning and then had the Beissel girls over. They laid out on the trampoline for a bit. But, it got a little chilly. When I got home Lilli and I took the puppies for a walk and then I brought both girls to Synergy for their one-on-one dance evaluations with Dana. Both came out of their eval happy and thought it went well, especially Lilli who said Dana was wow'd by her turns. She said she was really proud of herself, which makes me happy. Her confidence is just soaring this year. I put dinner in the oven when we got home. Alexa laid in her hammock in the back yard and Lilli did a work out with me. I'm so impressed with her. She did such a great job. She even did the renegade rows on her toes, better than myself, who did them on my knees. I fed the girls dinner, finished an episode of the Bachelorette and then Alexa and I took the dogs for another walk and nearly froze to death. What a chilly evening. We snuggled in my bed and watched a couple episodes of Gilmore Girls. Adam worked another Twins game and got home late.

Adam had another early morning for work. He spoke at a conference, had a couple meetings and then was able to come home early and mow the lawn. The girls left for camping today with the Beissel's. They went to Cannon Falls, which isn't far from home, and will be back Sunday. I'm going to miss them so much but they are so excited. I did my work out when I got home. Adam finished up the yard and the guy came to fix our ice maker and look at the A/C. We went and sat on the patio at Carbone's and had an awesome conversation with our waitress, who's name happens to be Hallie. She's a single mom of a little boy and a girl on the way. We gave her our # and offered to help if she wanted to reach out. I feel like it was a situation where it was either we were meant to be there for her or she was meant to be there for us. Either way, I hope we can keep up with her. We stopped at my co-worker, Ron's house, to pick up some moss he had in his yard for our fairy garden and visited for awhile. Adam and I took the puppies for a long walk when we got home.

Adam and I both got up early to get our workouts in. I did leg day and he ran outside. I met him outside with the dogs so he could cool down by taking them for a walk. We got a few pictures throughout the day from the girls. Looks like they are having such a fun time. They've been at the pool. The weather has been hit or miss - warm, cool, raining. After work we took the puppies for another long walk and then drove to Cannon Falls to visit the girls and have dinner. Craig grilled ribs. We stayed until about 10:30. It was fun - we ate and took a camper walk and sat by the bonfire. It was fun to see the girls and love on them a bit. Adam and I walked the dogs again when we got home. They'd been stuck inside a lot that day.

Adam and I did our work outs Saturday morning and then he went to work with Mike at Culvers for a little bit to get some training in for when he grills for Carters grad party. I did a little shopping to look for a dress for Paige's wedding, but no luck so I used one I already had. We got all dressed up and ready and drove to Jordan for the wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony in her church. We stopped at the bar and had a drink with Tom and Steve before heading to the reception at the Scott County Fairgrounds. We got a drink and found a table, mingled a little bit with some of Steve's family and then took a ride on the ferris wheel. Dinner was amazing, pulled pork and chicken and ribs. We stuck around for awhile longer and then left before the dance started. We took the pups for a walk, which has become such a fun one-on-one time for Adam and I. We really enjoy it.

Sunday was Father's Day. Adam and I took yet another walk together with the dogs, sat on the porch and enjoyed our quiet morning together. The girls got home around noon from camping and we took them to Jimmy John's right away to pick up sandwiches for a picnic lunch. We drove up to the park and sat on a blanket with the puppies. Lilli played on the playground a bit. The girls showered and cleaned up when we got home. We took a family bike ride and played bean bags in the front yard. All things Adam loves. He grilled pork chops and made rice for dinner. We had dessert at Cherry Berry and then home to watch AGT in our bed. We missed our baby girls.

The girls started their dance intensive week this week. Alexa rescheduled her babysitting the Wheeler's for Wednesday so she doesn't have to miss the first day. I got them up and ready, fixed their lunches and did Lilli's hair. Adam dropped them off a little before 9 and Stacey brought them home when they were done at 3:30. They both had a great time. They were happy to tell me all the details when they got home. Some good, some not so good. I took the puppies for a walk while they showered and then let them play with the puppies while I worked out. I made dinner and had popcorn while we watched some of the Bachelorette. Adam got home from playing bags and we took the puppies for another walk while the girls snuggled in my bed and watched Gilmore Girls.

Another day of dance intensives. The girls were up and ready, I made their lunches and they took the puppies for a morning walk while Adam did his work out. Adam worked a Twins game tonight and I took Alexa to a chiropractor appt after her intensive. It went really well. She looked pretty good actually, but her chiro was happy we brought her in to stay proactive on her torticollis. We may bring her back at the end of the week, too. We stopped at Target for a few groceries on the way home. I made dinner and then the girls showered while I played with the dogs in the backyard. Jolene text about working on Carter's boards for his grad party and I offered to go help. They turned out super cute. It was late when we got home, the kids came, too, and played capture the flag with Jack, so we went straight to bed. Adam got home just before 11 from the Twins game. The game went into 17 innings, luckily he worked in a stand that closed after the 7th inning and didn't have to stay for the whole game.

Alexa had to babysit Turner, Maddox and Diem Wednesday morning, so Adam dropped Lilli off at dance and then Alexa off at the Wheeler's. She watched them until 11 and then I picked her up and brought her to Synergy. They are enjoying their intensive week, but super exhausted by the time the get home. We had a great night hanging out, tho. I made them dinner, we played with the pups, I took them on a long walk and we snuggled in my bed and watched Gilmore Girls and ate popcorn. Adam worked the Twins game.

It's the girls' last day of intensive. They had to be there a half hour earlier so they were up and got the dogs on their walk right away. I missed their showcase at 2:30, but Jolene got some good videos for me. I did my work out when I got home. The girls and I had a smorgasboard of food from the fridge for dinner. Can't wait to get on a better dinner schedule next week. The girls took baths, we took the dogs on a long long walk and just relaxed a bit before Andrea, Cesar and Linda came. It was great to see them. They came kinda late so we just visited a bit and then went to bed.

The girls got to hang out with Cesar and Dre a little bit in the morning before they left. The Budde and Sharp girls came over in the afternoon to hang out. Adam got home early to mow the lawn and then went with Mike and Jack to Rochester to watch Jack's baseball game. I brought the girls to the Budde's for pizza dinner and to hang out while we made pasta and Asian salad at Stacey's for Carter's grad party. Michelle, Jolene, Stacey and I knocked out several batches in about 3 hours while enjoying our mules. It was so much fun! By the time we were done Mike and Adam got back. I walked the dogs up to the Budde's so he could have a drink with Mike and then we both walked back.

I got up Saturday and had a nice morning on the porch with the puppies and my coffee. Adam did his workout and went to help Mike right away. I got the girls up, we got ready and then brought the balloons to Family Fresh to get blown up. We picked up the cake at the bakery, Colin was working, and then brought the cake to the Budde's. We went home to change and get ready for the party then picked up the balloons on the way out to Whitetail Woods. Jolene, her SIL Lisa, Jeff, Mike, Adam and Mike's parents were out there getting things unloaded. We immediately started setting up. Then Alexa and Lilli went with Mike's mom to take Katelyn to her lacrosse game. We worked steady from 10 until 1 getting everything set up. The guys worked on the grill and us ladies set up the pictures, tables, coffee bar, sangria and salads. They served Culver's burgers made to order and cheese curds. Adam was the grill master and got several compliments. People started arriving at 1 and we were running non stop until the party ended at 5. Stacey and I made sure everything was stocked - food, cups, custard toppings, silverware, etc. It was a supr great time and Jolene and Mike were so appreciative. Carter was super happy, too!! It was a beautiful day and a very successful party. We hung out at Whitetail for a bit and then went back to Mike and Jolene's for some left over food and drinks.

We slept in until almost 11am. We were up off and on with the dogs, but didn't officially get out of bed until 11. It felt great, but we were still pretty exhausted. We had lunch and then watched AGT with the kids. I fell asleep again! Adam and I took the pups for a walk and then we met up with Dre, Cesar and Linda at Whiskey Inferno in Savage for dinner. It was sooo delicious and great to see/visit with them again. The girls went to the movie Toy Story 4 with the Sharp's and Emily when we got back. Mike and Jolene dropped off our coolers they borrowed and some more left over food/custard and then ended up staying for a few drinks. It was so great to just relax and visit with them after such a busy weekend. I went and picked the girls up from the movie at 10.

The girls were up and ready to go this morning - Lilli had an ortho appt and Alexa had to babysit the Wheelers. Lilli's appointment went really well. They were impressed with how quickly her bottom tooth moved into place. Alexa had fun watching Turner and Maddox and made another $20. Lilli did her work out while Alexa was still babysitting. I got her and Alexa both set up to do beach body 21 day fix real time. Alexa did hers after lunch. Ellie and Isabelle came over to play during the afternoon. They planned their sleepover on the Sharp's trampoline. Andrea, Cesar and Linda stopped by again to visit before heading to the airport. I did my work out. The girls took the pups for a walk while I made dinner and then I watched a bit of the Bachelorette with Alexa while Lilli took a bath. Adam had bags. He picked up my groceries on the way home and we took the pups for another quick walk before getting to bed. It was good catching up on sleep. We were both in bed (not quite sleeping tho) before 10pm.

The girls were up and had all their chores done including a work out and showers before I even knew they were awake. I'm so proud of them! Adam got a haircut and then took off for work. The girls had an early lunch and then rode their bikes to the Sharp's to help set up for their sleepover on the trampoline tonight. The sun was out quite a bit today and temps reached almost reached 80, so I guess you could say it's starting to feel like summer. I did my work out when I got home and when the girls got home I made them dinner. Lilli and I took Alexa to assist at Synergy at 6 and brought the dogs and gave them a nice long walk to Rambling River Park while she was in class. I dropped them back off at the Sharp's when she was done. I ran to Target and did a little shopping for our event this weekend. Adam had a late work meeting. We walked the dogs to the Sharp's when he got home to say goodnight to the girls. They had such a cute set up on the trampoline with a big tarp, blankets and twinkle lights. What fun memories they are making.

We found out the girls didn't fall asleep until 5AM. They lasted all night on the trampoline, but couldn't sleep. They stayed at the Sharp's until about noon and then went home to have lunch and take the dogs for a walk. They showered and rested a bit in the afternoon. I picked up the girls when I got home and we went and got Homie and new harness. Adam had accidently left it on him and he chewed right through it. We also stopped at Turn Style and I got a couple things. I made dinner and brought Alexa to assist. I came home and did my work out and then picked her up. We went and got all their sleepover things from the Sharps and then I took the puppies to watch Jack's baseball game. The girls stayed home to chill, they are so tired. And Adam met me there after work. Jack's team 10 runned them.

Adam took the day off today to do some yard work. Unfortunately, it started rainging way earlier than expected so he didn't get much done. There was a break in the afternoon where he got to mow, so that was good. The girls got to sleep in. They did their chores and Alexa helped Adam run some errands. I made a delicious summer cobb salad when I got home and took Alexa to assist. We had custard for dessert and watched our show, AGT.

The girls went to hang out with the Ohlhue's in the afternoon after doing their chores and having lunch. Adam got home early and I stopped at Target

to shop for a swimsuit. I found a couple, which is surprising. I hate swimsuit shopping. We had a quick dinner. I made the girls some chicken quesedillas and Adam had gotten us some egg rolls from one of his co-workers. The we went to Carter's baseball game in Rosemount. They went 13 innings and the score was 0-0. They had to call it due to the sun setting. Ha! We went to Sonic afterwards for a fun treat of slushies and shakes and some tots. We Facetimed my mom for her birthday! The girls wanted to have a sleepover together in the basement and Adam and I took the pups for a walk.

Adam and I got up and took the puppies for a morning walk fairly early and pretty much sweat to death of humidity. The weather was brutal. After it being a fairly cool summer so far 90 degrees and high humidity really caught us off guard. We took the girls to Sarah Nagle's grad party in the afternoon and met the Beissel's, Sharps and Budde's there. It was at her house. She had lots of fun pictures and great food. We sat out under a tent in her back yard and it was bearable, but getting up and exurting ourselves at all or standing in the sun was pretty awful. The kids had a blast and even saw an old dance teammate there, so they were excited to share their dances from this year with her. The girls had their stuff packed to go swimming at Emily's after, so we dropped them off to do that and Adam and I relaxed a bit and got ready for our event. We all met back up at the McCabe's at 4pm. We all had a mule to start the event, drew names for the next group of events (got are teamed with Jeff for next summer) and then took off to begin the night. We drove to Psycho Suzi's for dinner and sat out on the patio. It was gorgeous out and such a fun atmosphere. We had fun drinks and ordered a quick dinner. Then took off for the next reservation which was a pedal pub! This is something we talked about doing for a long time, so I'm glad we finally got the chance to do it. It was a blast. Our tour was 2 hours and we stopped at a bar and a brewery along the way. It's always a blast to do fun things like this with out friends. Afterwards we head back to the McCabe's to cool off in their pool with the kids. The kids stayed overnight. Hooray for another fun and successful friends event.

Adam and I were super lazy Sunday morning and laid around until the girls woke up at the McCabe's and we had to pick them up at 11. We stopped to grab a quick lunch and then the girls came home and showered. I took them shopping at the Outlet Mall in the afternoon and picked up a few things for the 4th. Adam had hurt his ankle running Saturday morning so he stayed home and rested it. He made us a yummy fajita dinner with beans, rice and soupa. We took the doggies for a walk and visited their friend Jasper at the Budde's and then home to watched the US soccer game in the basement and Lilli and I played solitaire.
