Minneapolis Aquatennial

My parents came down for the Minneapolis Aquatennial. That Friday night we met them up at Adam's office, grabbed a quick burger at Frankies and then sat in the rain and watched the River Rats Waterski Show. The tricks were impressive, but it wasn't super fun in the rain. Naturally it rained when my parents were here - they are cursed with bringing bad weather any time they come visit.

Saturday we visited the Mill City Ruins and the Family Fun area where the girls got to play a few games and bring home a bunch of misc swag. We walked around a bit to see what they had for food trucks and unfortunately the pickings were slim, so we walked to Crooked Pint. Delicious! Such a good choice. Then we walked to our spots to watch the fireworks show. OMG what a spectacular show. I've never in my life seen fireworks that good. It was non-stop for a half hour and it was jaw dropping literally the entire time. We cannot wait to go back - and will pretty much never look at fireworks the same ever again. Nothing will compare.
