It's become tradition to celebrate the 4th of July with our Budde friends and walk the Apple Valley Freedom Days with them and their business, Culver's. We meet at the Budde's house in the morning and get all dressed up and put on face paint. They've collected quite the bucket of red white and blue for us to dress up in. And my favorite, the Culver's converse shoes.
The forecast called for rain for the day and we made it thru most of the parade before it started to downpour. We were able to hop inside the Culver's trailer to stay dry, but ended up sweating thru our clothes anyways.
Another tradition is to go to Crooked Pint after the parade for apps and mules. And we send the kiddos with Ashleigh and Carter and some money to Target to get food for the night..usually guacamole ingredients.
We ended up at the McCabe's to swim for a bit and then drove up to Apple Valley for the fireworks. We sat in the parking lot of my office and had an awesome view.
