The very day after the girls' dance recital we were up and at em ready for our flight to New York. The Beissel's arrived at our house at 4:45am and we were on our way. The kids were happy and super excited. Checking in at the airport went super smooth and we were able to grab a quick something to eat and drink. We hung out and played cards at our gate and met up with Jeff, who was also on our flight. Our flight was supposed to leave at 7am, but we were delayed about an hour. Luckily, we made up that time in the air.

We arrived at Cesar and Andrea's apartment close to noon. Michelle and I stayed and got settled in while Adam and Craig took the girls across the street to Key Foods for some food for lunch. We had sandwiches, chips and fruit. Our original plan was to have our first day be a beach day, but the weather wasn't very warm - 60's only. So, we decided to head straight to the city. We got to Washington Square Park and had Amario Gelato, walked around there and Union Square. Saw Macy's and the Flat Iron Building. We went to Time's Square and to Dylan's and to the M&M store. We sat on the red stairs and people watched.

We headed back to Washington Square Park to get Ben's Pizza for dinner. We grabbed our slices and then sat in the park to eat. It was getting a little chilly, and windy, but we still had a great time. So many people and fun entertainment in the area.

When we got back to the apartment, we got the girls settled in and then Craig, Michelle, Adam and I walked down the block to our favorite little bar, Epstein's Beach. This became kind of our nightly routine during the week. Michelle and I had to try out the stripper pole, of course!

The girls were sound asleep when we got home.
