Influenza A - GO AWAY!!

I am so sad to be writing this. Our sweet Cruzie Bear has Influenza A. I've been hearing about it on the news and around town, school, dance, etc...and now it's our turn. It started with a mild cold on Thursday that led to a bigger cold Friday and a day home from school. She developed a cough Friday night and laid on the couch most of the day Saturday. Saturday night she came into our room saying she was hot and wanted her fan on at 2am. By 4am she was back in our room with shortness of breath and wheezing.

I took her into urgent care right away in the morning and the doctor knew immediately that she had influenza. She just had that look in her face and all the symptoms. She was given Tamiflu and an inhaler due to her oxygen levels being low.

All I can say is...my poor poor baby. I hate that this is happening to her and hope she can kick it very soon.

According to the doc, she's contagious for 7-10 days. So a week home from school and dance it is.

Send our sweet girl a prayer, please!
